With over 35 years combined experience in the industry Southside Research does not take the process of achieving great tone lightly. While other amps seek to emulate, reproduce or innovate we seek to do all three with a subtle balance of innovative features and a purity of signal path unparalleled in amps this versatile. As players we also know what to look for in a great organic sound that provides an interactive play experience and truly allows the amp to merge with the guitar into a complete instrument.

We want players to find their “voice” in our amps, therefore we offer models to suit varied tastes and styles. Our approach is to analyze the 55+ years of guitar amp history, and play to the strengths of the great old circuits, while

We have spent countless hours developing our approach to amp building. Our ground up approach to construction begins with careful component selection to suit a given circuit. This foundation allows our original amp designs, as well as our homages to amps of old, to reach their full sonic potential. The process continues with deliberate layout and construction with an emphasis on tone and reliability. Finally the cosmetic touches give that final dose of personality to the amp. Simply put, we feel that these are amps to get excited about.
